The US house of representatives voted overwhelmingly late Thursday to approve more than 400 billion dollars in defense spending, including some 25 billion dollars in emergency funding for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The appropriation for fiscal year 2005, which passed by a 410-12 vote, now goes to President George W. Bush, who said he would sign it.
