In Fallujah, Iraq, 14 civilians reportedly died as a result of a U.S. air attack approved by Iraqi Interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi.
Yesterday, eyewitnesses reported that American helicopters executed an air assault against a residential building for civilians after a clash between American soldiers and armed people. Ahmed Ganem, a doctor from the Fallujah Hospital, said that 14 corpses, including women and children, were brought to the hospital after the attack. Lieutenant Saad Halef, from the Fallujah defense forces, said they first heard the warplanes and later, four explosions from the houses where civilians lived.
