Arroyo Lost in May Polls, Ibon Survey Shows

The new government may have been installed but, for majority of Filipinos, not by a credible election.

The latest IBON survey results released to the press this week showed 53.18 percent of Filipinos believing that the electoral canvassing conducted by Congress was not credible. Of the 1,681 respondents, only 26.95 percent said it was credible.

Asked who they think won the May 10 elections, 43.43 percent said it was Fernando Poe Jr., while 36.47 percent answered President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Those uncertain comprised 13.03 percent.
