A survey of Australian attitudes to foreign policy has revealed more than two-thirds of people believe Australia pays too much attention to the United States.

The study has been released by the Lowy Institute for International Policy, an independent think-tank. The survey of 1,000 people has revealed some views which the group says contradict common perceptions.
