MALACAÑANG on Thursday appeared unruffled by the latest threat of the Islamic militants in Iraq holding Roberto Tarongoy captive to kill him by Friday unless the Philippines pulls all its workers out of that strife-torn country.

A video of Tarongoy, who has been a captive since November, appeared Monday on the Qatar-based al-Jazeera network, wearing an orange jumpsuit, an indication that he was nearing execution.
