Palestinian experts and officials warned yesterday of the potential threat, resulting from increased poverty in the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing the importance of the role of institutions to decrease poverty and ensure its cessation in the long run.

This came during a workshop organized by the Ministry of Planning at its headquarters in El Bireh City, in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Government and a number of civil society institutions. The participants in the workshop discussed a working paper about the national strategies and policies to fight poverty, entitled 'Planning with the poor fore development'.
