At least eight die, 15 wounded in US attack on Fallujah; Six National Guard applicants shot dead

American warplanes, tanks and artillery units attacked the the city of Fallujah on Saturday, killing at least eight people and injuring 15, hospital officials and witnesses said. The U.S. Army stated the strikes targeted a meeting point in central Fallujah for fighters loyal to Jordanian-born activist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
