Caracas, March 7 - US ambassador to Caracas broke out the report on assasination attempt of President Hugo Chavez in a secret call to Venezuelan vice-president.

Venezuelan vice-president Jose Vicente Rangel said he had learnt about the plot after a secret call by Charles Shapiro, the US ambassador to Lima, IRIB quoted El Comercio daily as saying.
