Port of Spain, Trinidad : The acting secretary-general of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luigi Einaudi, said [on] Wednesday [16 February] that the OAS had failed Haiti and called for Caribbean Community (CARICOM) member states to save the impoverished nation from further isolation.

Ambassador Einaudi made the comments while delivering a lecture at the learning resource centre at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine [Campus].
