Colombia's FARC say rebel kidnapped from Venezuela

BOGOTA, Colombia, Jan 3 (Reuters) - Colombia's largest leftist rebel group on Monday said one of its top leaders was illegally abducted last month from Venezuelan soil, contradicting official claims that police caught him in Colombia after a month-long manhunt.

The 17,000-strong Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, accused "corrupt" Venezuelan police officers of helping Colombia security agents kidnap Rodrigo Granda, their foreign relations chief, from Caracas, Venezuela's capital city.
