ABIDJAN, IVORY COAST - French tanks have reportedly surrounded the home of Ivory Coast's president, raising fears that he may be ousted after the country's army killed nine French peacekeepers.

About 50 armoured vehicles took up positions around President Laurent Gbagbo's house in the West African country's commercial capital, Abidjan, on Monday, a presidential spokesman said.
