Darfur rebels free aid workers - UN

"We are relieved to report that the 16 humanitarian aid workers who had been detained (on Saturday) by the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army were released today (Sunday) and have returned safely to their base in El Fasher, North Darfur," the UN's acting humanitarian co-ordinator for Sudan, Kevin Kennedy, said in the statement, confirming unofficial reports from Khartoum.
