LUANDA, April 9 (Reuters) - The World Health Organisation (WHO) has halted a campaign in western Angola against an outbreak of Marburg virus after residents attacked its teams in apparent fear they could be spreading the deadly infection.
Team vehicles were attacked and damaged on Thursday in the Uige district in north western Angola, which is at the epicentre of the outbreak, the WHO said on its Web site. It was not clear whether work had resumed. Full Story>> |
